Sandstone Faces Monument Valley, Arizona Reflections and shadows compliment one another across the many asymmetric angles of a sandstone butte to create what appear to be several faces. In a matter of moments, the sun’s movement will erase this scene and perhaps create something new on this 200-foot-tall cliff face as well as on the many other unique rock formations found throughout the park. |
