The Living Drought Glen Canyon, Utah In an area prone to extremes, a ten year drought has greatly impacted areas of the southwest. With a growing demand for water downriver from this location at the northern end of Lake Powell, this area has been particularly hard hit. These conditions promote a transition to drought-tolerant plant, like this one near the Colorado River. |
