Bridal Veil Falls

Yosemite National Park, California

Bridal Veil Falls plunges 620 feet over a precipice in Yosemite National Park.  The Ahwahneechee tribe of Native Americans believed that the mist from the falls would lead to marriage, but that looking directly at the waterfall would curse them to a vengeful spirit that guards the entrance to the valley.
