Olympic Foothills

Olympic National Park, Washington

At the northern end of the Olympic Mountains, forests cover valleys that were formed by glaciers during the last Ice Age.  This stand, surrounding 624’ deep Lake Crescent, benefits from the rain shadow, an uncharacteristically moist and sunny region of northwest Washington.
