Sunbeam Falls

Mount Rainier National Park, Washington

Below the summit of Mount Rainier, water from Sunbeam Creek cascades over broken columns of the volcanic rock, andesite, after leaving Stevens Canyon.  The creek originates from the slow melting of a small glacier on the north side of the neighboring Tatoosh Mountain Range.
