Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

A bouquet of life springs from the ground surrounding a piece of deadwood from a long-fallen lodgepole pine tree. Lupine, Phlox and other flowers begin a cycle that will eventually include the growth of other plants, young saplings and ultimately mature forest.
