The Ponderosa

Yosemite National Park, California

The bark of a Ponderosa pine displays its fissures that become more pronounced as the tree ages. Ponderosa pines grow to almost 200 feet with a trunk that can be four feet across. The bark of the Ponderosa pine smells like vanilla.
