Wild Geranium

Absaroka Range, Wyoming

Tucked away in a small open meadow surrounded by a dense Lodgepole pine forest, a geranium peacefully floats above the rest as if the subject in its own painting. This species is one of 800 found in the Geraniaceae family of flowering plants.
