Bend in the River

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

The Madison River begins its 183 mile-long flow in the elk-rich flatlands of Yellowstone National Park. Here, the river gradually winds its way around a bend in these lush grasslands. Ultimately, the Madison River ends near Three Forks, Montana, where it joins with the Jefferson and Gallatin rivers to form the Missouri River.
