Yosemite Fog

Yosemite National Park, California

High above Yosemite Valley, fog spills over the top a cliff after moisture-laden air from the Pacific Ocean has risen and cooled from meeting the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada Range.  Because of the park’s specific location, Yosemite is susceptible to rapidly changing weather phenomena, including spontaneous fog.
