Heron Fishing

Bonita Springs, Florida

A Great Blue Heron stealthily wades through the edge of a marshland, ready to strike quickly at fish, its favorite food, or at shellfish, insects, reptiles or even rodents as desired alternatives. Their long legs enable Great Blue Herons to wade into deeper waters to exploit greater food opportunities than other herons.
