Canyon Wall

Kings Canyon National Park, California

In the heart of Kings Canyon National Park lies a deep canyon that was formed when rock melted from super-heated water that exists far below the earth’s surface. Left behind are canyon walls that are often comprised of multi-colored rock, reflecting the diversity of minerals found within.
