Nisqually Flow

Mount Rainier National Park, Washington

The Nisqually Glacier, one of 26 major glaciers that characterize Mount Rainier, slowly flows down the southern face of the volcano.   Measurement data indicate that the glacier has been thickening and is expected to begin advancing once again after years of gradual retreat.
