Mule Deer

Kings Canyon National Park, California

A mule deer grazes near a wooded area at the bottom of North America’s deepest canyon. Here, herbaceous plants and berries offer ample food opportunities within the confines of a dense coniferous forest. The mule deer gets its name from its long ears.
