The Mittens Monument Valley, Utah Carved long ago by meandering rivers, the iconic red siltstone buttes of Monument Valley create an otherworldly scene. The Mittens, as they are known, rise 1,000 feet above the valley floor in sharp contrast to the green sagebrush that grows from red sand. |
