Claret Cup Canyonlands National Park, Utah The flower of the Claret Cup cactus grows for only a few days each year in the grasslands of Canyonlands National Park. The spiny plant produces a large flower into which the hummingbird, the Claret Cup’s principal pollinator, must insert its entire head to reach the nectar. |
