Utah Juniper

Deadhorse State Park, Utah

A Utah Juniper grows from the small cracks in a rock high above the canyonlands of southern Utah. These Junipers grow in some of the earth’s most inhospitable conditions that include little water, intense winds and searing heat. It survives by having a root system that grows to 25 feet deep and 100 feet across to secure the tree while gathering any available moisture.
