Blue Jay

Avon, Connecticut

A blue jay raises the pronounced crest of feathers on its head, a sign of excitement while watching its fellow flock members. At the end of the season, the blue jays will migrate up to hundreds of miles away to escape the cold conditions of the northeastern United States.
