Moose Head

Glacier National Park, Montana

A bull moose breaks from foraging in a willow thicket on the edge of a dense pine forest deep within the vast Montana wilderness. Like other cervids, the moose is an herbivore, but is the largest of the species with males weighing up to 1,200 pounds. This bull’s antlers will become full grown in another few weeks before they are shed by the moose over winter.
