Mountain Bluebird

Gros Ventre Wilderness, Wyoming

A Mountain Bluebird prepares to land on a tree limb in the open terrain of rural Wyoming. The Mountain Bluebird typically flies low to the ground in order to catch insects and search efficiently for berries. In the fall, it will spend most of its time migrating to more southern areas within its range.
